Corrigendum
A corrigendum is an official change to a published tender: a new date, changed specification, revised quantity or clarified clause. Once issued, it is part of the tender.
- Check the tender page for corrigenda regularly, and again on the last day.
- If a corrigendum changes forms or the BOQ, use the new version.
- A deadline extension is also announced through a corrigendum.
Pre-bid meeting and queries
Many tenders allow bidders to send questions before a set date or attend a pre-bid meeting. The buyer's replies are usually published, and changes are issued as a corrigendum.
- Send queries in writing, in the format the tender asks for, before the deadline.
- Ask about restrictive or unclear clauses here; it is the right stage to raise them.
- Read the published minutes and replies even if you did not attend.
